The “Machete” star recently sat down with Access Hollywood’s guest correspondent (and fellow “Little Fockers” actress), Teri Polo, and dished on drawing from her personal marital experiences to play a sexy pharmaceutical rep who distracts the Byrnes / Focker men in the latest installment of the “Meet the Parents” franchise.

“Was it difficult playing the other woman?” Teri asked Jessica, at the film’s junket on Sunday. “Playing the woman that, you know, might possibly make the other woman — me — mad?”

“Well, I’m a wife,” Jessica told Teri. “So, I know that even if my husband isn’t doing anything with someone that he works with, if they are even remotely attractive or have like, a little bit of energy, or if they even have a little like, cute word back and forth, I get really crazy. And I don’t make any sense.”

“Who would have thought that Jessica Alba would possibly have any concern [about cheating]?” Teri exclaimed.

“Are you kidding me?” Jessica laughed.

“[Actors] are the most insecure people in the world,” Teri added.

Despite Jessica’s beauty and star status, the 29-year-old stunner still wants to make sure the ladies are aware that her husband of nearly three years, Cash Warren, is completely off the market.

“[My husband] jammed his finger and had to get his [wedding] ring cut off,” Jessica told Teri. “He was trying to show off with his friends and trying to act like he was 18 again and so they all played tag football, and then played basketball after it and he [had to get] his ring cut off.

“He’s like, ‘Babe — everyone knows I’m married,” she added. “And I’m like, ‘Oh hell no. You’re wearing the ring again. None of that foolishness!’”

Catch Teri and Jessica (along with Dustin Hoffman, Robert De Niro, Barbra Streisand and Blythe Danner) when “Little Fockers” hits theaters on December 22.

Jessica Alba has said that she first got into acting to “make people laugh”.

The Machete star told Metro that she was especially excited about working with Ben Stiller in upcoming comedy sequel Meet The Parents: Little Fockers.

Alba said: “It still feels like a dream, totally surreal. When they called to say I’d got the role, I just went: ‘What? That’s crazy’.

“I was just so excited to have the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to work with Ben at the audition. He has such impeccable comedic timing and great observational humour.”

She added: “I’ve always loved comedy, always liked to make people laugh. I feel like that’s why I got into acting.”

The very funny Canadian blogger/tweeter/ex-model Kelly Oxford has become a bit of a showbiz darling over the last year or so, attracting retweets and shout-outs from the likes of Diablo Cody, Roger Ebert, Dan Harmon, John Mayer, and Jessica Alba. Earlier this year, word leaked out that another Hollywood fan — former Will & Grace writer Jhoni Marchenko — had teamed with Oxford to develop a potential sitcom based on the Canadian writer’s life as a stay-at-home mom. Looks like things are going well: Vulture has learned that CBS has picked up the project, with both Alba and Marchenko on board as producers.

Currently dubbed The Mother of All Something, the half-hour sitcom (produced by CBS Studios) is being written by Oxford and will borrow heavily from her own life as a mother of three (and, yes, her Twitter feed). Alba’s involvement as executive producer could be a hint that perhaps she’s thinking of actually starring in the show should it go all the way to series. As of now, however, CBS is simply calling the actress a non-writing producer on the potential series. And while it was quite common back in the eighties and nineties for stand-up comics to play versions of themselves on TV, Oxford has dismissed the notion of her appearing on-camera. “I’ve had a lot of offers to act in the last few months,” she told semi-jealous scribe Jill Soloway in an interview last spring. “But I’d rather be known as a good middle-class mom than a wealthy, terrible actress.”

CBS will likely decide whether to film a pilot for Mother by March.

Jessica appeared TODAY show yesterday morning, on December 13. Jessica looks really cute. She talked about her newst movie, her christmas dinner and more. She also came to explain misunderstood quote published by Elle.

There was an article written recently where I was completely and totally paraphrased and things were taken out of context and mushed together. It was a four-hour interview that got condensed into a page and a half for a fashion magazine … Basically I was [really] saying that I didn’t have the courage and didn’t really understand how to bring my own thing to the table and I would never veer away from the script, ever, no matter what. Even when actors would go off book, I didn’t know what to say
